BACKGROUND

For more than 25 years, Tim Holmes has been turning ideas into work that makes a difference across Australia, the US and Canada, and across categories, budgets and briefs.

The name comes from the old corner store: a mix of everything, nothing too precious, and usually just what you needed. Mixed Business takes a similar approach, bringing creative thinking and commercial sense together without a lot of machinery in between.

Available for a day, a project, a longer engagement, or the occasional problem that doesn’t fit neatly into a brief.

HOW I WORK

No layers. No handballing. Mixed Business is deliberately small, so you work directly with Tim. When a project calls for more hands, I bring in people I know and trust—senior writers, developers, designers and strategists. When it’s time to get the work made, there’s a wider production network of directors, photographers and producers to draw on.

WAYS TO WORK TOGETHER

Day or project rate, retainer, or fractional CD. However we work together, the mix is the same: good people, good work, and a relationship that makes both easier.
